Data Retention and Account Deletion Policy
Updated 30 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-23-v1
1. Active account data
While your account is active, consistency. stores the profile, plans, tasks, events, chats, preferences and other records needed to provide the service. When you delete an account, the server cancels linked Stripe subscriptions, closes its billing lifecycle and deletes the authentication user. Account-linked application rows generally cascade from that deletion; the browser clears its account store and planning drafts after the server confirms success. Cancellation and deletion are separate operations, so a failed deletion may require support to complete.
2. Records that may remain
Deletion is not an immediate purge of every record. An invitation linked to your account, or matching your account email at deletion, is removed when the authentication account is deleted. An older invitation that cannot be linked, for example after an earlier email change, may remain until unclaimed invitations are removed in a later cleanup. Applicable billing and audit records, including lifecycle and webhook evidence, are retained for five years, subject to any verified law, dispute or other exception requiring a different period. These records are reviewed for deletion when no longer required; five-year deletion is an operational review, not an automatic timer. A legacy trial fingerprint is a deterministic, potentially linkable email hash; it is removed once the closed-trial safeguard no longer needs it.
3. Logs, backups and providers
Server logs, older backups and records held by Stripe, AI providers, email and hosting providers may persist after in-app deletion under their own retention terms. We cannot promise an immediate purge from those systems. Eligible rate-limit hits older than 90 days are scheduled for daily cleanup; a failed job can delay removal. Unclaimed invitations are removed in a periodic cleanup, and expired trial fingerprints are removed once the closed-trial safeguard no longer needs them. This later cleanup is separate from deleting an account and may require operator action.
4. Your choices
You can use Delete your account in Settings or write to support@consistencyau.com to request access, correction, a copy of your data or further deletion information. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any records we must retain and why. See the Privacy Policy for the wider data picture.
