Questions

Everything worth knowing before you start.

Including the parts that are not flattering. Better to read them here than to find them on day three.

Getting started

How long does setting it up take?

About four minutes. It asks when you go to bed, when you get up, where your work or study schedule is (upload it, or put the hours in yourself), anything else that happens every week, and when you focus best. As few as six questions. Putting hours in yourself adds one, and so does each thing that happens every week, because each needs its days and its hours.

Any question can be skipped, so pressing Next the whole way through still finishes it.

Do I have to enter every assignment and deadline?

No. You say what you want time for and roughly how much: an hour, five times a week. With a subscription, a planner finds the hours. On the free plan you place them on the timetable yourself.

Exams, quizzes and deadlines go in the Calendar, and those hours are kept clear. You can type them in, or import them from a file you already have, such as an exam timetable as a PDF or a screenshot.

What if my week is different every week?

Then the fixed part of the questions will be short, and almost every hour is open. Where it struggles is a week you cannot see coming, like shift work published on a Friday for the week after. When the new roster comes out, import it (a PDF, a screenshot or the spreadsheet) and Lenny adds the shifts you approve. You can also move any session by dragging it, and change what an area asks for at any time.

How the planning works

How far ahead does it plan?

With a subscription, a rolling fortnight: fourteen days, rebuilt whenever anything about your week changes. Not a semester. A plan six weeks out is a guess about a week you cannot see.

On the free plan nothing is planned for you. The timetable holds whatever you put on it.

What happens when I miss something?

Nothing, until you say so. Nothing is ever marked missed by a timer. A session that has been and gone stays open until you say what happened, and the check-out at night asks.

With a subscription, choosing Reschedule sends a planner from tomorrow forward through the fortnight for an hour where that session fits, with the same sleep and the same commitments, and it tells you where it went. If there is nowhere, it says so. On the free plan a missed session is marked missed, and you move it yourself.

What if it cannot fit everything I asked for?

With a subscription, the week says so, with the reason. Not “something went wrong” but the actual constraint: that weekdays cannot hold five of them, or that one a day is all you allow and every day already has one. It links to your areas, where you can change what you asked for.

When the reason is your pace, for example that a day holds two study sessions, a planner says how many fit and one tap fits the rest.

Can a planner plan harder, or lighter?

Yes. With a subscription a planner asks how hard to plan: Chill, Balanced or Hardcore. Each sets how much a day holds and how far apart two study or work sessions sit. You can change it in Settings.

Can I move things myself?

Yes, on both plans. Drag a session anywhere on the week and it goes there, unless you are asleep, already busy, or it would overlap something. Then it refuses and says which. A planner does not undo your changes.

The AI

How much of this is AI?

Less than you would expect, on purpose. The questions and Lenny’s planning are ordinary code. The questions are a fixed script, and placing sessions is arithmetic over your free hours. That is why the same answers always produce the same week.

A model does the work in two places, both with a subscription: the chat with Lenny, and reading a schedule you import from a file. Elsewhere a model only rewords something that was already worked out: a setup question, and the line on your weekly report.

What is Lenny for?

Talking through a week and changing it, on a subscription. You say you are tired, or behind, or that the plan no longer fits, and it works with that. It can also add something to your week from a sentence, and it shows you where it would land before it saves anything.

Your data, and the other apps you use

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your week, your areas and today’s ticks live on the device. Adding, moving and ticking sessions all work with no connection, and sync when you are back. If the server cannot be reached the app says so in one line and stays usable.

Can I get my week into my normal calendar?

Not as a live calendar. You can download your week as a PDF or an image from the Week. The other direction works, from a file: see the next question.

Can it read the schedule I already have?

Yes, from a file, with a subscription. Under Import schedule on the Events page, or Upload it in the questions at the start, pick up to five files: a PDF, a photo or screenshot, a Word file (.docx), an Excel file (.xlsx) or a CSV, 3 MB at most in all. A photo or screenshot can be PNG, JPEG, WebP or HEIC. Lenny reads the classes, shifts, exams and deadlines in them and shows you each one. Nothing is added until you tick what is right and tap Add. A file you have already imported is recognised and not read again.

To read them, our server sends each file to our AI provider: a PDF or a picture as it is, a Word, Excel or CSV file as its text. Our server does not keep the files or their text. What is kept is what you add, and for each file a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash, which cannot be turned back into the file), its name and the date, so the same file is recognised. Undo right after an import, Start over and Delete account remove them.

Older Word (.doc) and Excel (.xls) files are not read: save them as .docx, .xlsx or PDF first. A file with a password, a spreadsheet with macros, a PDF over 30 pages, a HEIC photo that cannot be turned into a JPEG, or any other kind of file is refused, and the app says why.

Linking another calendar by its private link (Moodle, Deputy, Outlook, Google or Apple) is no longer offered, and the app no longer reads linked calendars when it opens. Events a linked calendar brought before stay in your Calendar.

What can a friend see?

The task you are doing right now and when it ends, or that you are free. That is all their app shows. Not your week, not your notes, not your commitments and not when you sleep.

Friends are added by typing a code that the other person gives you. There is no search by name or email, and there is no nudge button.

Can I delete my account and my data?

Yes, from Settings, yourself, without emailing anyone. The service attempts to cancel linked subscriptions before deleting the authentication account and connected app data. If the process fails, deletion is not confirmed; contact support to reconcile any billing change before retrying.

Some billing, security, fraud-prevention and legal records may remain after account deletion. See the Data Retention and Account Deletion Policy for the current categories and limitations.

Money

How much is the subscription?

In Australia it is A$10.99/month, GST included. Outside Australia, checkout shows your final price, currency and any applicable tax before you pay. You subscribe on the website only.

Do I pay tax?

In Australia, prices are GST included. Stripe sells the subscription on our behalf, and collects and pays the GST. CONSISTENCYAU.COM is not currently registered for GST. Outside Australia, checkout adds your country’s tax and shows the final amount before you pay.

Who processes my payment?

Stripe processes website payments. Checkout and your receipt will identify the seller, final charge and any applicable tax. We do not receive your full card number.

Can I get a refund?

Cancelling stops future renewal; access normally continues until the paid period ends. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law and the circumstances. For a payment question, use the contact details on your receipt or email us.

Is there a free plan or a trial?

There is a free plan: the timetable and the calendar, planned by you, with no time limit. There is no trial: new accounts start on the free plan. A subscription adds Lenny’s planning. Pricing has both lists.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep Lenny’s planning to the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account goes back to the free plan. Your timetable and calendar stay. If a payment fails you get a week before that happens.

Is anything limited or metered?

The free plan has manual planning. Premium planning and chat require an eligible plan or beta grant, and AI requests may have usage limits.

The honest limitations

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

Not in the App Store or Play Store. It is a web app you install to your home screen, where it opens full-screen and works offline. On an iPhone you have to install it that way before notifications will work. The app explains how when the moment comes.

Can I change when the check-out happens?

No. It appears once your last session of the day has ended, or at 9pm, whichever comes first. You can choose the hour of the reminder notification, and it follows your own timezone.

How many themes are there?

Two, light and dark, plus an option that follows your phone or laptop between them. Each area carries its own colour, which is what you see on the week.

Are the terms and privacy policy final?

They describe what the product does today. One part is still open: the governing law, which the terms say will be confirmed in a later version. Terms · Privacy
